WHO worker denounces a “direct attack” by Israel on a convoy in Gaza

Gaza, Apr. 6 (EFE).- A driver for the World Health Organization (WHO) was killed and two other workers were wounded Monday in the Gaza Strip in an Israeli attack that led to the immediate suspension of medical evacuations through the Rafah crossing, according to medical sources at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital and WHO staff.

Translation:

1. What these vehicles and this committee do is coordinate the evacuation of patients so they can receive treatment abroad. An Israeli tank intercepted the convoy and opened fire directly on the coordination vehicle; this is what actually happened.

2. This constitutes a direct attack on a UN agency, an attack on a UN convoy working to coordinate the evacuation of patients from the Gaza Strip, affiliated with the World Health Organization in coordination with the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
