Tensions erupt between supporters of Morales, Arce during march in Bolivia

Vila Vila, Bolivia, Sep 17 (EFE).- A march led by Bolivia's former president, Evo Morales (2006-2019), to defend his candidacy for the 2025 elections travelled its first kilometres towards La Paz on Tuesday.

The event took place after a tense moment with groups loyal to the current government of Luis Arce, who tried to block their way.

Before reaching Panduro, Morales supporters clashed with miners sympathetic to President Arce, leading to a brief exchange of stones and firecrackers near Vila Vila. (Camera: DANIELA ROMERO/ STRINGER).
