Bamako (Mali), Sep 17 (EFE) - The Support Group for Islam and Muslims (GAIM), an affiliate of Al Qaeda in the Sahel, claimed responsibility for the attack Tuesday on a school of the Malian Gendarmerie in Bamako near the airport and said it also attacked the military airport destroying fighter jets.

In a communiqué distributed by its propaganda arm Az-Zallaqa and reproduced by the jihadist terrorism consultancy SITE, the GAIM assures that the attack perpetrated at dawn in the Malian capital, of which the victims are unknown, was against the military airport and against a training center of the Gendarmerie.
