Peru bids farewell to former president Alberto Fujimori | Video

Lima, Sep 14 (EFE).- Peruvians attended the funeral of former President Alberto Fujimori on Saturday at a private cemetery on the outskirts of Lima.

Fujimori, who served from 1990 to 2000, died on September 11 at the age of 86 due to complications from cancer.

The funeral was attended by his family, party members and hundreds of supporters.

During the ceremony, Fujimori's remains were laid to rest near the mausoleum of his ex-wife, Susana Higuchi.

His brother Santiago and son Kenji delivered speeches praising his presidency, while Keiko Fujimori promised to continue his political legacy. (Camera: MIKHAIL HUACÁN).
