Pakistan enters its second week of energy rationing due to the Gulf crisis

Islamabad, Apr. 15 (EFE).- Pakistan has entered its second week under a strict energy rationing plan that forces the early closure of shops and shopping centers, an emergency measure to prevent the collapse of reserves amid the supply crisis in the Strait of Hormuz.

The nighttime scene in cities like Lahore and Rawalpindi, some of the country’s largest, has turned into deserted commercial districts under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s directives to conserve energy.
