54 migrants rescued in waters near Tenerife, Spain | Video

Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Spain), Sep 17 (EFE).- Maritime Rescue rescued a total of 122 people on Tuesday, including at least two women and a minor, who were on two dinghys, one in waters near El Hierro with 68 people on board and another near Los Cristianos (Tenerife) with 54 migrants, according to sources from the state-owned company and emergency teams who have informed EFE.

In the case of the boat that arrived in El Hierro, it was detected by an echo from the Guardia Civil's SIVE radar about 19 kilometres south of La Restinga, so the Salvamar Caliope was mobilised.
