Frenchman wins a Picasso worth one million euros in a charity raffle
Paris, Apr. 14 (EFE).- A Frenchman has won the raffle for a painting by Pablo Picasso, held this Tuesday in Paris, among the thousands of participants who had purchased one of the 120,000 tickets priced at 100 euros to try to win the work, valued at one million euros, in a raffle whose proceeds will go toward Alzheimer’s research.Simply titled ‘Tête de femme’ (Woman’s Head) and painted in 1941 by the Malaga-born genius, the work in question is a gouache on paper depicting his then-partner, the photographer Dora Maar.
