Eibar celebrates 95th anniversary of Spanish Second Republic
Eibar, Spain, Apr 14 (EFE).- The town of Eibar in Gipuzkoa, the first municipality to proclaim the Second Republic in the early hours of April 14, 1931, was officially designated a Site of Democratic Memory on Tuesday during a ceremony marked by repeated calls for freedom and against war.In Plaza Unzaga, where the City Hall is located, and which, 95 years ago, changed its name from Plaza Alfonso XIII to Plaza de la República, institutional representatives, including the Minister of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs, and Agenda 2039, Pablo Bustinduy, participated in the ceremony.CAMERA: JULEN ZUBILLAGAFOOTAGE OF THE CELEBRATIONS IN EIBAR, BASQUE COUNTRY (SPAIN).
