Colombia to euthanize Pablo Escobar's hippos to control the invasive species

Bogotá, April 13 (EFE).– The Colombian government announced Monday a hippopotamus management plan that includes euthanizing at least 80 animals during the second half of this year, due to the uncontrolled reproduction of this invasive exotic species, which was introduced more than three decades ago by drug trafficker Pablo Escobar.
