HONDURAS HOLY WEEK

Archbishop in Honduras urges people not to reduce Holy Week to a “cultural or vacation event”

Tegucigalpa, March 29 (EFE).- The Archbishop of Tegucigalpa, Spaniard José Vicente Nácher, urged Honduran Catholics not to reduce Holy Week to a “cultural or vacation event” but to embrace it as a “summary of our following of Jesus” during Palm Sunday Mass.

"Holy Week is not just a cultural or vacation event but a summary of our following of Jesus. It is a return, with ever-greater depth, to the origin of our faith," said the archbishop in his homily delivered near the Metropolitan Cathedral of Tegucigalpa before hundreds of Catholic parishioners.
