Madrid, Apr 8 (EFE).- Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez welcomed on Wednesday the ceasefire in the Iran conflict as good news but warned, in reference to US President Donald Trump, that Spain will not applaud “those who set the world on fire just because they show up with a bucket.”

Sánchez said in a message on his X account that such announcements are always positive, especially if they lead to a just and lasting peace. (Camera: HANDOUT).

TRANSLATION:

- Ceasefires are always good news, especially if they lead to a just and lasting peace. But a temporary relief cannot make us forget the chaos, the destruction, and the lives lost.

The Government of Spain will not applaud those who set the world on fire just because they show up with a bucket.

What is needed now: diplomacy, international law, and PEACE.
