'Shogun' wins big at Emmy Awards, ‘Hacks’ major surprise in comedy

Los Angeles, Sep 15 (EFE).- The 17th-century Japanese drama “Shogun” received four Emmys on Sunday, earning it a record 18 wins in a single season on a night when “Hacks” emerged as a surprise winner for the best comedy series beating “The Bear.”

Shogun, which had already received 14 Emmy awards earlier for technical aspects of television productions, won in the categories of Best Drama Series, Best Actor (Hiroyuki Sanada) and Actress (Anna Sawai), as well as Best Direction. (Camera: EFE).
