Serbian teachers protest against teacher salaries and salaries of teachers

Belgrade (Serbia), Sep 16 (EFE/EPA) - Unionized education workers in Serbia are demanding harsher penalties for assaults on teachers, wage increases to match the national average, changes to civil servant pay regulations and bonuses for education employees.

If these demands are not met, the unions have threatened to intensify their strike, which could lead to a total work stoppage.
