Protest in Seoul against Japan's Fukushima nuclear plant treated water discharge

Seoul, Aug 21 (EFE/EPA).- Members of the Korean Federation for Environmental Movements staged a protest on Wednesday in Seoul against Japan's release of treated wastewater from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant into the Pacific Ocean.

The discharge, which began on 24 August 2023, has sparked ongoing environmental concerns and opposition as the one-year anniversary of the water release approaches. (Camera: JEON HEON-KYUN).
