Marc Márquez: "I won't make it to 40"

Sao Paulo, Mar 17 (EFE).- Nine-time motorcycle racing world champion Marc Márquez feels that he is approaching the end of his career as a rider. Although he intends to extend his career for as long as possible, the idea of racing until he is 42, like Italian Valentino Rossi, has never crossed his mind.

SOUNDBITES OF MARC MÁRQUEZ:

"Well, you have to weigh everything. I mean, I'm only 33, but I'm aware that—though I hope not, and I hope to put it off as long as possible—I've also had quite a few surgeries, and that's hard to deal with on a day-to-day basis."

"I won't even make it to 40, so don't worry."
