BRUSSELS, Apr 15 (EFE).— The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) said on Wednesday that the European Union has the global influence and tools to play an important role in resolving the Middle East crisis. Speaking at the European Parliament, the bloc’s secretary general warned that escalating attacks have severely impacted regional security, economies and humanitarian conditions. He also stressed the need to keep the Strait of Hormuz open and called for stronger cooperation between the EU and GCC to ensure stability. (Camera: PABLO GARRIGÓS).
