US aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford arrives in Croatia for repairs

Split, Croatia, Mar 29 (EFE/EPA).- The world largest aircraft carrier, USS Gerald R. Ford, anchored in Split, Croatia, Sunday for repairs following a non-combat fire during operations in the Red Sea.

The vessel transitioned to the NATO-allied port after a laundry room fire on Mar. 12 injured three sailors and damaged sleeping quarters. (Camera: STRINGER).
