Tokyo, Apr 15 (EFE/EPA).- The number of foreign tourists visiting Japan hit a new record in March with more than 3.6 million arrivals, according to government data released on Wednesday, despite a sharp drop in Chinese visitors amid tensions between Tokyo and Beijing.

Data from the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) showed a 3.5 percent year-on-year increase, marking the highest figure ever recorded for March and bringing total arrivals this year to nearly 10.7 million. (Camera: FRANCK ROBICHON).
